A restoration series for houses worth saving
Restoring Grace follows the slow, careful work of bringing historic homes back to life — repairing original millwork, plaster, and glass instead of tearing it out, and giving each house the modern comfort it needs without erasing its past.
The show
Old houses don't need reinventing. They need someone patient.
Every episode begins with a house that someone was ready to gut. We walk it, learn what the original builders intended, and work back toward it — hand-planing sashes, casting missing plaster, matching profiles on a shaper.
What's left at the end isn't a flip. It's the same house, still itself, ready for another hundred years.
Our approach
Three rules we never break
Survey before demo
Every house gets a full assessment first. We map what's original, what's salvageable, and what was added badly along the way.
Repair over replace
Wavy glass, heart pine floors, plaster crowns — original material gets repaired by hand whenever it can be saved.
Live in the present
Wiring, insulation, and kitchens meet today's standards, tucked in so the period character still reads first.
